Cane Furniture Maintenance

The Outdoor collection is UV resistant, colourfast, water repellent and frost proof and, unlike other traditional wooden furniture, Outdoor is totally maintenance free. The Outdoor collection can withstand the different seasons; pouring rain, burning sun and the freezing snow.

Furthermore, the entire Outdoor collection can withstand extreme temperatures, which makes the furniture suitable for southern as well as northern latitudes. Please note that cushions should not be left outdoors in wet conditions - we recommend bringing them indoors when rain is imminent. Cushions may be hand washed at a maximum of 30 degrees Centigrade - they should NOT be removed from their covers. Use foam rinse, as used for car seats, for bigger cushions. Cushions supplied to UK customers meet the Fire Safety Regulations for Indoor Furniture.

The entire Outdoor collection is hand-woven with the unique synthetic Hularo® fibres, which are made from a fully dyed polyethylene material. The Hularo® fibres are produced in Europe and have exceptional qualities, being extremely strong and soil resistant. Clean the fibres with ordinary household detergent and rinse.

Every component of the Outdoor collection is handmade. The collection combines quality with comfortable seating and romantic design of the highest calibre. The combination of woven Hularo fibres and the frames of either aluminium or galvanised, makes the furniture suitable for outdoor use.

Glass tops are made of 8mm toughened glass and can be used on top of the woven surfaces.

Teak table tops are supplied untreated and over time will develop a silver grey Patina. If you wish to maintain the timber colour treat the teak with Liberon Teak Oil.

Easy Tops are made from fibreglass and polyester composite. This is maintenance free and only requires washing down.

Slate Tops are made with natural slate pieces which must be treated with Conditioning Oil before use to make them resistant to dirt, rain and weathering. They are NOT frost proof and should be stored indoors during Winter.

Granite Table Tops are made from natural, polished granite. It is smooth and shiny. Small colour variations and depressions are a natural feature of this material.

Teak Furniture Maintenance

Teak table tops are supplied untreated and over time will develop a silver grey Patina. If you wish to maintain the timber colour treat the teak with Liberon Teak Oil.

For a natural look, un-stained and un-waxed, apply Boracol 10RH before Winter and again in the Spring. This clear, odourless treatment will clear and prevent slime, mold and rot and leave the wood un-stained.
